I love the History Channel's "Dogfights" series and this is my Homage to it. However this is purely fictional and is NOT based on any real events. A pair of F6-F's come to help SBD's from being attacked by Zero's but one of them gets a Japanese Ace on his SIX and it becomes a game of Cat and Mouse with the Hellcat as the mouse. After a long Duel and a severe maulling the Hellcat pilot finally manage's to get the Zero in his crosshairs and destroy him. The Hellcat has taken a critical beating and the pilot has no choice but to bail out, but he has survived the "Pacific Duel".
